Sheldon Zedeck is an industrial/organizational psychologist. He is Professor Emeritus and Professor of the Graduate School. His research interests are in five areas: (1) employment selection and validation models, with particular emphasis on reducing adverse impact against minorities; (2) research on admissions tests for college and post-graduate degrees (collaborated with Professor Marjorie Shultz, Law School faculty, on a major project on how to define success in law school and as an attorney--and how to predict lawyering effectiveness). He also has interests in (3) the relationship between work and family, with particular emphasis on how factors in both the work and family environments have reciprocal, causal relationships; (4) decision making, in particular how individuals process information prior to making decisions; and (5) what factors determine a "healthy workplace;" studied from an interdisciplinary perspective.
