After graduating from Cal with an undergraduate degree in psychology I matriculated to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth Texas. I completed a dual DO/MPH degree program and stayed an extra year to complete a NIH funded K-30 clinical research training program focused on nonpharmacological treatment modalities for pain. Next, I did a medical internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic followed by an Interventional Pain Management fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University. During all phases of my professional training, I applied the rigorous scientific and analytic skills I learned at Berkeley. I am now in private practice physiatry/pain management in Oregon.
