A Conversation about Awe

In his new book, Awe: The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How It Can Transform Your Life (Penguin 2023), Dacher Keltner examines awe -- "the emotion we experience when we encounter vast mysteries we don't understand." Keltner, UC Berkeley professor of psychology, explores how the experience of awe can transform one's brain and body. His research also examines awe through history and culture, revealing how this emotion can help us build stronger social networks and inspire actions that bring about good in the world.

Joining Professor Keltner in conversation will be Yuria Celidwen (Senior Fellow, Othering & Belonging Institute), Wesley Lu (UCB undergraduate), and Mridini Vijay (UCB undergraduate, student mental health advocate)
