Amie M. Gordon | An Introduction to Dyadic Data Analysis

Institute of Personality and Social Research Special Workshop
Researching dyads provides both opportunities and difficulties. In this workshop, we'll cover the methodological opportunities that come with studying how two people interact and influence each other, as well as the analytical problems that arise when dealing with their non-independence. I'll cover common dyadic models (e.g., APIM, common fate) and discuss issues such as distinguishable versus indistinguishable dyads, cross-sectional versus longitudinal models, and choosing between different analytic approaches (GEE, MLM, SEM).
