We have officially updated our weekly opportunities for the week of March 30. Here are some important updates/deadlines to keep in mind for this week:
1. PsychSSO Office COVID-19 Updates
In light of the recent announcement made by the Chancellor, the physical PsychSSO office will be closed effective Tuesday, March 17 through April 7th (tentative). However, the major advisors are moving to a virtual setting. If you would like to virtually meet with an advisor you are welcome to schedule an appointment. You have the option of scheduling a phone or online appointment through Google hangouts, Zoom, etc. Let us know what works for you, and we are happy to make any accommodations. Email email@example.com if you have any questions.
We have created a living COVID-19 Psych document for our students to refer to for the latest updates. We will be updating it on a regular basis with any pertinent information.
2. Psychology Peer Advisor Drop-in
Feel free to check in with one of our peer advisors through our new virtual drop-in system. Their schedules are on the flyer below, and you can meet them on google hangouts through this link!

6. Course Suggestion Workshop
Please join us next week, on Wednesday, April 8th at 5PM for a special online course suggestion workshop. Please join us next week through this Zoom link: https://berkeley.zoom.us/j/7626950505
Zoom Meeting ID: 762-695-0505
Looking forward to seeing you all!
7.Office of the Registrar Updates from the Central Evaluation Unit
At this time, students should be advised to request that transcripts be sent electronically (if the transfer institution needs an email address, they should use email@example.com). The Office of the Registrar (OR) is continuing to post-transfer credit via this method.
A reminder that they cannot receive transcripts from students via email, they must come directly from the transfer institution.
If an electronic option is not available, OR suggest that students postpone the request to send until after Shelter in Place (right now, April 7th). At this time, there is no one available to scan hard copy transcripts in Sproul due to Shelter in Place. And it might not be advisable for documents to linger with mail services.
8. L&S Updates
Effective last week, L&S is only offering remote advising services via Google Hangout. Students are able to schedule their own online appointments using this link ls-advising-appts.youcanbook.me
Students can also send their questions via email to the Ask L&S email, firstname.lastname@example.org Students should use their Berkeley.edu email account for any questions that require the checking of student records.
Students should also be encouraged to view their Remote Learning Period Advising Services Section on our website https://ls.berkeley.edu/advising/remote-learning-period-advising-services where they can get guidance on petitions, advising and other campus resources.
