Here are some important updates/deadlines to keep in mind for this week:


1. Introducing BIPOC students to Social Work Careers!

Are you interested in learning about social work from BIPOC therapists and social workers who work in community settings? La Clínica de La Raza, a community-based organization started by a Berkeley Social Welfare alumnae, is looking for students interested in social work and in learning more about the field from BIPOC social workers.  Join them for a 4-part series of paid dinners.  You get a $25 Grubhub credit card for participating in each session (you must be able to participate in all 4).  

Learn about the work of La Clínica de La Raza

Ask questions about the fields of social work and/or behavioral health in an informal & friendly setting

Build professional and personal networks with a peer group and a local employer

2. Looking for an intimate Psych class to take this fall? Try Psych 115! 


Psych 115- Introduction to Brain Imaging Analysis Methods

Course Description-An introduction to brain imaging analysis methods with emphasis on functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) of the human brain. Topics include: Basic MR physics of fMRI signals; linearity of the fMRI signal; time versus space resolution trade offs; noise in neuroimaging; correlation analysis; visualization methods; cortical reconstruction, inflation, and flattening; reverse engineering; relationship between brain activation and cognitive state; multi-voxel pattern analysis; fMRI-adaptation.

This class requires an application and approval by the instructor to be enrolled.

3. Psych Advising over the Summer 

If you are looking for academic support over the summer we will be open to appointments only. 

Current students may schedule an advising appointment with Olivia, Jennifer, or Christine on CalCentral. All major advising appointments are currently offered remotely only.
