Weekly Opportunities - December 9, 2019
Announcements

We have officially updated our weekly opportunities for the week of December 9th 2019
Here are important updates for you:

1. Save the Date!

The Psych Commencement for Spring 2020 will be taking place on May 19, 2020 at the Zellerbach Auditorium at 2PM. More information will be released within the coming months. Congratulations class of 2020!

2. EOP & Psych Satellite Advising:
Starting this fall, we will be having drop-in advising at the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) in their new MLK BNorth space! Please reach out to them for more information on program eligibility at (510) 642 – 7224!

3. Search by Major Pilot Program:

A new campus search tool is now available for psychology students. The Psychology major is part of the Search by Major pilot in the Class Schedule. You can now use the Class Schedule to search for classes in a given term that fulfill specific Psychology major requirements. This feature is made possible thanks to the support of the ASUC Student Tech Fund.

To use this feature, go to classes.berkeley.edu.

  1. Start with the Major Requirements facet on the left and select your Requirement Year. Requirement year is the 2019-2020 year
  2. Select your major
  3. Select the term in which you would like to search for classes. The search is possible beginning with Spring 2020 class offerings.

You will see results for all classes offered in Spring 2020 that fulfill any of the requirements in the Psychology major. Please be sure to read the text in the yellow box at the top of the results list to learn about specific conditions of the major. You can then filter to the sub-requirements you are interested in fulfilling. You can also use the standard Class Schedule filters (such as Breadth Requirements and Classes with Open Seats) to narrow results.

As a declared student, you should always cross-reference your Academic Progress Report (APR) in CalCentral to confirm which requirements you need to meet. For more Class Schedule resources, please visit the Using the Class Schedule page on the Office of the Registrar website.
