Sabana Gonzalez, a Developmental PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley, received the Graduate Division's Mentored Research Award in 2026

The purpose of this fellowship award is to assist diverse doctoral students in acquiring sophisticated research skills by working under faculty mentorship on their own pre-dissertation research. Fellows receive a $32,000 stipend, payment of in-state fees, and a $7,000 summer stipend.
