Book Talk: In Defense of Troublemakers

Author Charlan Nemeth, Professor of Psychology (UC Berkeley), will discuss her book In Defense of Troublemakers: The Power of Dissent in Life and Business (Basic Books, 2018). She will explain why dissent should be cherished, not feared, because it leads to more creative and better decision-making. Lone objectors — from Twelve Angry Men to Edward Snowden — force people to question their assumptions and bring groups far closer to truth.
