Psychology Welcome Event

Tolman Hall Breezeway

Join the Psychology community in the Tolman Hall Breezeway on Wednesday September 6 from 2-4 pm.  Have a bite to eat, meet some faculty members and connect with your colleagues. It’ll be a great chance to learn about different ways to get involved with the Psychology here at Berkeley and beyond.  Please RSVP online here so we can be sure to have enough refreshments for everybody.

Research Assistant Positions
Students can earn 1 unit of credit for every 3 hours per week that they work as a research assistant in a lab. If you are interested in getting involved in research and earning credit, click here to view and download descriptions of opportunities in the Department of Psychology for the Fall. Once you’ve been accepted as a research assistant with a lab, be sure to complete and submit the Psych 199 application to enroll in the units.

Honors Thesis
Application due September 8

We will begin accepting applications for the Psychology honors thesis next week. Students who are interested in pursuing an Honors thesis have until the third week of classes to submit the application and be able to add the class for free.  If you miss this deadline, you must submit the signed application by September 22 and will be charged an additional fee in order to add into the proper classes.

Whether or not you have submitted the application and officially enrolled in the Psych H194A Honors Seminar, you should attend the first day of the Seminar lecture. Visit our Honors webpage for more information about completing an Honors thesis in Psychology.
