Professional Development

Traditional coursework and the research internship will be complemented by an on-going series of professional development activities.

The program begins with an orientation during which students are introduced to the Department and provided a program overview. The professional development series consists of bi-weekly meetings during which students discuss topical issues in psychological science, the graduate school application process (including tips on writing applications, attending interviews, and accepting offers, etc.) and other career development topics.

Students are offered bi-weekly one-on-one mentorship sessions during their first semester and ongoing mentorship is available to assist students with graduate school applications and capstone project preparation.
