Summer Opportunities – June 2017

Campus is full of activity this summer as new students visit, continuing students take classes, and research continues in Psychology labs. Check out the information below as well as more information included in the documents available for download at the bottom of this page.

Welcome New Golden Bears!

You’ve submitted your SIR and you’re looking forward to starting at Cal in the Fall or Spring. So what’s next?  Check out this great website about transitioning to campus.

You’ll begin your academic transition through the online Golden Bear Advising module. We also have lots of information on our website specific to the Psychology major. A great place to start learning about the Psychology major is by watching the major orientation videos here,  And if you still have questions after viewing those, feel free to reach out to an advisor in the Psych Student Services Office.

Psychology Welcome Event

Friday, September 8

Save the date for the Psychology Welcome event, tentatively scheduled for Friday September 8 from noon to 2. Come join other intended and declared Psychology majors for a bite to eat and to connect with your colleagues. It’ll be a great chance to meet the staff and learn about different ways to get involved with the Psychology community.

Summer Courses

Session A is in full swing and students are finalizing choices for Sessions C and D. If you’re still looking to round out your summer course schedule, take a look at the full list of courses offered through the Department of Psychology in summer, on our Course Information page.

In addition to Psychology, many of the departments on campus offer interesting classes during summer.  So if you’re trying to meet an AC requirement or just want to explore something new, Summer’s a great time to do so.  You can check out more information about the various summer courses in the “Miscellaneous” document below.
