Graduated in 1967 and began teaching in Oakland.  It didn't take long to think "someone ought to be able to run schools better than this"!   So I went back to school in school administration and worked abroad and at home as principal, director, headmaster of schools.  After years of headmastering and doing lots of counseling in that job, I decided to get back to my lifelong dream of being a therapist.  That required returning to grad school yet again and I've been in private practice for the last 25 years.  

My undergrad major in psych in the 1960's was focused on the brain.  I was disappointed because my real interest was clinical, but it turned out to be so all important in mental health today!  Likewise, it was an unexpected surprise to see how many doors would open over the years because of being a Cal Grad.
