In Memoriam
Harrison Gough passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014.

Prof. Gough was a long-time member of our Department.  He joined the Department in 1949, straight from his PhD program at Minnesota and remained at Berkeley for his entire career.  He served as Chair of the Department from 1967 - 1972
and was instrumental in starting the Institute of Personality and Assessment (IPAR), now known as the Institute of Personality and Social Research (IPSR).   He retired as an emeritus professor in 1986.

Prof. Gough was a distinguished and well-honored personality psychologist.  He is perhaps best known for his personality instrument, the California Psychological Inventory (CPI), as well as for the Adjective Check List and Personal Reaction Blank.  He received Fulbright and Guggenheim Foundation fellowships, and the American Psychological Association, Division 5 award for his lifetime contributions to the field.

We will pass along any information we receive concerning a memorial.
