Kim was presented with her award which included a
certificate and gold pin this summer. Kim has been with the Psychology
department for 5 of those 10 years.

Tiana Alnas-Benson is the new Project Assistant for the department.
"Most recently, I worked for the Berkeley Unified School District while
my youngest child was in elementary school. I have a BA in Liberal Arts
with an emphasis in Cultural Studies from John F. Kennedy University.
Things I like to do include gardening, hiking, sewing, reading and
solving crossword puzzles."

Emilie Dandan joins the department as the
Intake Advisor & Scheduling Coordinator of Student
Services. Emilie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley last Spring 2007. Before joining the Student Services in Psychology, Emilie worked as the Intake Advisor and the Scheduler in the ESPM department in the College of Natural Resources. She loves to cook, eat and go shopping. She also loves to sing but her voice is out of tune.

After serving as Acting Director of Student Services for the Fall
Semester, Andrea Lambert, M.A., has joined the department on a permanent
basis as the Director of Student Services. Andrea has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Japanese Studies from UC
San Diego and a Masters of Arts in Psychology from the Institute of
Imaginal Studies (IIS), a psychology graduate school and research
center. Her professional experience includes three years teaching
English in Japan with the JET Program and 10 years at IIS serving as the
Academic Services Coordinator and then Director of Communications. In
her free time, Andrea enjoys yoga, tennis, dancing, and photography.

Ninh Trinh is the department's new Contracts and Grants Specialist.
"I moved to California from New York in 1992, and have lived in
Berkeley since 1998. My BA is from California College of Arts and
Crafts, where I majored in Illustration. I enjoy painting and like
teaching kids about the process of composing and creating a painting
of something that they find interesting. My other interests include
cooking and traveling."

Heather (Hanna) Knight has joined us as the department's Human Resources Generalist.
Hanna comes to us directly from her last position at Employment Services, where she worked as a Human Resources Specialist. Hanna earned her B.A. in Fine Art at U.C. Santa Cruz. She has extensive experience in human resources administration and benefits counseling.

Andrea Gutierrez joined us in October 2007 as the Undergraduate Advisor
in Student Services.
She received her BA from Scripps College in German,
Spanish and Politics, and worked at UCLA in Undergraduate Admissions
prior to moving to Berkeley. She has lived most of her life in southern
California, but has also called Spain and Germany home. In her spare
time she enjoys film and digital photography, writing, crafts, and
exploring the Bay Area.

Emily Birman joined us in October 2007 as the department's Web Manager.She earned her Master's Degree in Information Systems with Honors from Moscow University. Her prior work experience includes design and development of large-scale relational database applications, as well as managing web design projects for various small businesses. She enjoys traveling, walking
on the beach, skiing and ice skating, cooking, and growing flowers, but most of all she loves her wonderful family.
