Assistant Professor Mahesh Srinivasan was recently named a “Rising Star” by the Association for Psychological Science. The Rising Star designation recognizes “outstanding psychological scientists in the earliest stages of their research career post-PHD whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.” Professor Srinivasan is the director of UC Berkeley’s Language and Cognitive Development Laboratory. His primary research explores the development of linguistic creativity and how it reveals and shapes children’s cognitive development.
